MAKE48 begins with 12 teams from 12 states competing in a real life invention competition where they must brainstorm the best product idea within a given product category, make a prototype, and pitch it - all in just 48 hours.

The viewer is immersed in the hands-on action as the invention showdown unfolds including brainstorming, designing and building their ideas in order to pitch their prototype to a team of expert judges. Industry A-listers and Tool Tech mentors roam the competition floor and give advice to the teams on all facets of product design and development.
